The best month to swim in the sea is in August when the average sea temperature is 27°C (81°F) (i.e. if you like your dip to be like a warm bath like sandy beach Mellieha bay) but swimming is still refreshing as you’ll want to escape the often mid 30s plus temperatures.
Rain occurs mainly in winter, with summer being generally dry.
